The Paramount Chief of the Elmina Traditional Area, Nana Kodwo Conduah VI, has commended the Minister for Works and Housing, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye for his enthusiasm in ensuring timely delivery of various government projects aimed at alleviating the plight of ghanaians.

In his assertion, the Minister upon assumption of office has made it his duty to inspect ongoing projects undertaken by the Ministry for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

“It is good to embark on such visits to make sure what contractors present to your office are the same work done on the ground”, he said.

In his response, Hon. Asenso-Boakye stated that he is satisfied with the works done on the sea defence projects so far in the Central Region and urged the contractors to work diligently to meet deadlines.

Hon. Asenso-Boakye thanked the Chief for his encouragement and asked for continued support towards the successful implementation of the projects.

The Minister, who visited Cape Coast and Elmina Coastal Protection Works, indicated that, it is the vision of His Excellency President Akufo-Addo to protect the communities along Ghana’s coast line against tidal waves.

The Minister has so far inspected the Anomabo, Komenda, Cape Coast and Elmina Sea Defence projects in the Central region.
