Civil Service Week And Awards Celebration

The staff of Ministry of Works and Housing, undertook a clean-up exercise within their offices and its surroundings.The exercise is part of the 2020 Civil Service Week and Awards Celebration being organized by the Office of the Head of Civil Service.

The celebration has as its theme, ‘Civil Service and Private Sector Synergy: A National Development Imperative,’ which aims at ensuring an effective alliance between the private and public sectors to accelerate development in the country.

It also aims at promoting interaction with clients and the general public on the role of the Civil Service in national development and solicit for feedback to improve the quality of services delivered by the Ministries and their Departments.

The activities for the week long-celebration include, a Press Launch, Christian and Muslim Thanksgiving, Public Lecture, Opening Day, Clean- up Exercise, Health Talk, Blood donation, Medical Screening and to crown it, a Civil Service Awards Ceremony.

The Chief Director of the Ministry, Mr. Solomon Asoalla, commended the staff of the Ministry for their full participation in the Service Week and said the celebration provides an opportunity for civil servants to interact, share ideas and learn.
