Mr. Solomon A. Asoalla, holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from the University of Ghana; a Master’s in Public Sector Management; and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Administration. He also undertook post-degree legal training at the Ghana School of Law and qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court. He has undertaken several post-graduate courses including Contract Strategy and Management (Malaysia); Budgeting in the Public Sector (USA); Electricity Market Structuring and Pricing Master Class, and others.

 Mr. Asoalla has served on Boards/Committees including the Committee for Competency-Based Training in Polytechnics; the Inter-ministerial Committee on Migration; the Joint Committee (National Governance Project/Institute of Public Administration, Canada) for the development of the Cabinet Memorandum Manual for the Ghana Civil Service. He has served as a Member of the Governing Boards of the Student Loan Trust Fund; Ghana Road Fund Management Board, National Task Force for the establishment of the (i) the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho (ii) the University of Energy and National Resources, Sunyani and (iii) University of Environment and Sustainable Development, Somanya.

Mr. Asoalla also co-ordinated the passage of several statutes including The University of Ghana Act (2010), University of Professional Studies Act, (2012); Student Loan Trust Fund Act (2011); Education Act, (2008); Ghana Institute of Journalism Act, (2006); Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Training Act, (2006); West African Examinations Council Act, (2006); University of Health & Allied Sciences Act, (2011); the University of Environment and Sustainable Development Act, 2011; Instrument of Ratification of the World Anti Doping Agency Convention; Instrument of Ratification of the ECOWAS Protocol No. A/P3/01/3 Education and Training and General Convention on the Recognition and Equivalence of Certificates.
Mr. Asoalla has participated in several Conferences/Workshops including Senior Management Development (GIMPA), UNESCO Conference on Harmonization of World Civilizations, New Delhi; Senior Education Managers Seminar, North-East Normal University, China; ECOWAS Conference of Education Experts, Abuja; Chairman, ECOWAS Task Force on Resource Mobilization for Education, Accra; 14th Session of Ghana-Cuba Permanent Joint Commission for Co-operation, Accra; Cross Regional Workshop on Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty and International Co-operation, Istanbul (Turkey); National Data Centre Development Workshop, Tunisia, etc.
